Official Information:

The 2nd International Symposium on Green Processing in the Pharmaceutical & Fine Chemicals Industries will be held on May 29-30, 2008 at Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, USA. The symposium is being organized by Paul T. Anastas, Berkeley (Buzz) W. Cue, Jr., Chao-Jun (CJ) Li, and Julie B. Manley. The objective is to bring together experts from academia, government, non-governmental organizations, and industry including technology providers of the pharmaceuticals and fine chemicals industry to share knowledge and challenges with the intention of facilitating collaboration to expedite the integration of green chemistry solutions into these industries. The organizers of the conference recognize the unique attributes of these industries and the similarity in chemistry. This symposium not only shares applications of green chemistry but it also encourages green chemistry through the supply chain. The first symposium in this series was held October 20-22, 2006 at McGill University in Montreal, Canada and received very favorable feedback.
