Official Information:

Engineered nanoparticles and nanomaterials offer many potential benefits as a result of novel properties and behaviour that materials can exhibit when manufactured or precisely manipulated at the nanoscale. While the production of nanomaterials is undergoing exponential growth, their effects on biota, environmental fate and behaviour are still only partially understood.

This conference is the fourth in a series of very successful meetings in London and Birmingham. The venue for 2009 will be at the University of Vienna. The conference will be hosted by the Department of Environmental Geosciences.
