The 16th biennial international Winter Conference on Plasma Spectrochemistry will be held at the Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa. More than 600 scientists are expected and over 300 papers on modern plasma spectrochemistry will be presented. Oral paper and poster titles are requested by July 10. Over 50 preconference short courses will be presented on January 2-4, and a three-day exhibition of new instrumentation and accessories will be offered January 5-7. Plenary and invited lectures will highlight 12 symposia on topics ranging from applications and techniques to fundamental processes and basic research results. Glow discharge, laser ablation and induced breakdown spectroscopy, sample introduction and transport, sample preparation, stable isotope analyses, exitation mechanisms, automated and microplasma systems, biological and medical applications, energy, environmental, soil and plant sciences, earth and geochemical sciences, forensics, petroleum and semiconductor products, and marine sciences will be featured.
