Official Information:
Mastering Medicinal Chemistry is now in it’s seventh year and continues to bring you a quality broad spectrum medicinal chemistry program, presenting high quality case studies from senior medicinal chemists across Pharma and Biotech. Year after year it represents a unique meeting place for several hundred medicinal chemists across the industry to meet, listen and learn, brainstorm during breakout discussions and visit their favorite technology providers in our exhibit and poster hall.
This year we include successful case studies featuring several of the hottest pursued targets in our industry including; PI3K, Hedgehog, PDK1, Gamma Secretase and BACE, Cav2.2 , the Ubiquitin Proteasome System, MEK inhibitors and more.
Keynote presentations feature case histories from a recent approval from Genzyme to several clinical candidates from Merck, Arena, Schering Plough, and Tranzyme Pharma. Each presentation will be given by a senior level chemist from each project and include in-depth coverage from early to later stages of discovery to development.
Many of the current major drug pipelines are represented in this program including Pain, Alzheimer’s, Oncology, CV, Inflammation, Obesity and GI disorders. There is something for everyone!
Back by popular demand is our coverage of strategies for effective medicinal chemistry including a focused session on Fragment-and Structure-Inspired projects, the problem of Reactive Metabolites, Drug-Drug and other toxicities, and new this year a session dedicated to Imaging of Small Animals either PET or MRI as a recent emerging tool in our space.
We are very pleased to invite you to join this leading cast of speakers for the 2010 Mastering Medicinal Chemistry in San Francisco this Feb. We also welcome you to check out our three pre-conference short course offerings that cover; the blood-brain barrier, transporter mediated drug-drug interaction, and fragment-based methods - an introduction.
