The Australian Institute of Physics will hold its 19th National Congress from Sunday 5 - Thursday 9 December 2010 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Congress is held biennially and it attracts many of Australia’s finest physicists plus a number of prominent overseas attendees. The Congress provides a forum for discussions within specialist physics topic areas, and opportunities for physicists from academia, government, industry and the commercial sector to keep up to date in areas outside their specialities. It covers approximately 20 special interest groups and, for only the second time, in 2010 the Congress will be held with the Australian Conference on Optical Fibre Technology (ACOFT).
