The current interest in polymer matrix based nanocomposites has emerged largely due to research involving exfoliated clay, functionalized carbon nanotubes, carbon nanofibers, exfoliated graphite (graphene), nanocrystalline metals and a host of additional nanoscale inorganic filler or fiber modifications. The reinforcement aspects of nanocomposites are the primary area of interest. However, mechanical properties, barrier properties, flammability resistance, electrical/electronic properties, membrane properties, polymer blend compatibilization etc. are of equal concern. Understanding the property changes as the particle (or fiber) dimensions decrease to the nanoscale level is a key to optimize the properties in resultant nanocomposite. Keeping this objective in mind, this conference is being organized to bring the scientists, academicians and researchers who are working in the multidisciplinary field of polymer nanocomposites on one platform where they can deliberate and disseminate the information on various aspects of polymer nanocomposites. Anybody who is working in the field of polymer nanocomposites are welcome to attend.
