The biannual ECerS conference will for the first time be held in Sweden and we are happy to invite you to Stockholm during midsummer week in 2011. The conference venue is located in downtown Stockholm with easy access to numerous hotels. Following the tradition of ECerS conferences since more than 20 years, the ECerS XII will be an international meeting where scientists, students, and industrialists can meet to present and discuss recent advances and novel applications in ceramic science and technology. Recent developments in e.g. energy related and biomedical materials will be addressed in a plenary session. The technical programme is organised in seven general themes and seven topical symposia, and the ECerS student speaking contest is always a highlight of the meeting.
