Natural products have provided, and continue to provide, the most challenging target structures for the advancement of the science of synthesis. Current efforts are devoted to provide efficient processes that allow the selective synthesis of natural products and their analogs for the application in biological chemistry and as potential drug candidates. Innovation at the interface between chemistry and medicine relies on selective molecules.

The fourth conference in the series of highly successful ESF-COST High-Level Research Conference on Natural Products Chemistry, Biology and Medicine, held in an exquisite location allowing complete concentration on science without distractions from outside, continues the tradition of presenting world leading science in its subject area.
