Dear colleagues,

We cordially invite you to participate in the 4th Conference on Advanced Spectroscopies on Biomedical and Nanostructured Systems (BioNanoSpec) to be held between September 4-7, 2011, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The Conference is organized by the Interdisciplinary Research Institute on Bio-Nano-Sciences, in collaboration with the Faculty of Physics, Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Biology and Geology of the Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca. Following the tradition in inviting Nobel laureates as special guests, this year the Honorary President of the conference is Professor Jean-Marie Lehn, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, 1987. As in the case of the first three conferences organized in September 2004, September 2006 and September 2008 in Cluj-Napoca, this fourth edition will bring together physicists, chemists and biologists as well as other scientists who are using spectroscopic techniques and/or theoretical methods to study the interaction, structure and dynamics in biomedical and nanostructured systems. A prestigious list of invited speakers will be assembled, but there is also room in the program for contributed talks and posters.
