Agricultural Chemistry Conferences

Agricultural chemistry deals with agriculture and the management of food crops, as well as livestock and pasturage in rural economies. It deals with the chemistry of the life processes, metabolism, diseases, and the interactions between domesticated and wild organisms in the rural environment. Specific areas of study include soil and water quality, inputs for farming such as fertilizers and crop protection chemicals (insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, and antivirals), animal health. There is substantial overlap with analytical and environmental chemistry in that important contributions are made by methods for the analysis of soil and water samples, and testing of plants and animals for metabolic markers and signs of disease or ill health, and analysis of pesticide residues. Another branch involves research to find new applications for agricultural products, primarily crop plants - for example biofuels as green alternatives.
