Green Chemistry Conferences

Green Chemistry is essentially chemistry practiced in an environmentally sound manner. It mainly concerns the processes for producing chemicals commercially, as well as the redesign of existing materials so that their disposal at the end of their  lifetime will not adversely affect the environment. In terms of chemical processes, green chemical methods will preferably utilize recyclable solvents (generally water), reusable reagents/catalysts, and starting materials derived from renewable resources. In terms of the material design, the degradation pathways for a particular material are analyzed, and then modified to reduce or eliminate the environmental load imposed by the decomposition products.
